Did some parents object to seeing their kids play a game where people who just happen to be made of plastic are melted down for parts? That would be reasonable! UFOs are spotted, and the player must contend with them in the midst of the war! What’s worse, insects will sometimes spawn, threatening your plastic friends. No wonder MyEmulator has fought so hard to make sure it’s never forgotten! It’s quirky, it’s funny, and yet at times it’s far more serious than it has any right to be - and yet, somehow, it works. Wait, but that sounds like a lot of other games! Perhaps, but how many other games star plastic toy soldiers instead of real-world human beings? In how many wars can you lay a careful siege upon a garden pot or kitchen cabinet, where you know hundreds of enemies lie in ambush? Indeed, that’s what separates Army Men from every other franchise ever made. The same cannot possibly be said for Army Men, a frequently underappreciated series of video games that give players a front row seat to the cataclysms of war. To the untrained eye, one could be mistaken for another.

Or maybe even Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat. Old-school Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest games, for example. MyEmulator happily hosts so many video game franchises that there will inevitably be some that seem fairly similar to each other.
